It is made out of stoneware clay. It holds about 16oz and is dishwasher and microwave safe. 

*Please note: There is some crazing (a crackle look to the glaze) on the inside and outside. It is my opinion that crazing is still food safe, especially when using a dishwasher is sanitize between uses. **
